Albany, N.Y : Two people Serious injuries in Halfmoon crash early Saturday morning, March 11, 2017

Two people were hospitalized, one with serious injuries, when a car struck a fire hydrant in the town of Halfmoon early Saturday morning.
State Police say the car was traveling west on Sitterly Road around 12:20 a.m. when it went off the road, struck a hydrant on the south side of the road, swerved back into the road and kept going until striking a tree on the north side of the road.
Two passengers were taken to Albany Medical Center, one with a serious back injury.
Further information is being withheld pending an investigation into the crash, police said.
