PORTAGEVILLE, MO : 1 man killed in crash on I-55 near Portageville, MO on Tuesday, 26th February 2019

According to Sgt. Clark Parrott with the Missouri Highway Patrol, all southbound lanes of Interstate 55 are open after a deadly crash.
Sgt. Parrot said one person was killed.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report said 29-year-old Ridge H. Starnes of Portageville was pronounced dead at the scene by Pemiscot County Coroner Jim Brimhall.
According to the report, it happened at 4:30 a.m. a the 31.7 mile marker on Tuesday morning Feb. 26.
The crash report said Starnes was driving a 2002 Ford Taurus when he struck a Tractor Trailer driven by 33-year-old Ali S. Arab of Denver, Colorado in the rear.
Starnes next of kin has been notified.
Traffic was being directed off the Interstate at Portageville, around on highway 162 and back on at the Wardell exit.
