The man who died Tuesday in a car accident on Interstate 15 was North Las Vegas resident David Makkonen, the Clark County Coroner's Office said today.Police say Makkonen's Toyota Corolla hit the right wall on a northbound highway on ramp near Tropicana Avenue just before 3:40 p.m. Damage to the car was minor but Makkonen, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
