Los Angeles,CA :12-year-old, woman injured in 5 Freeway crash near Glendale on August, Saturday 26th 2017

A 12-year-old boy was gravely injured and a 35-year-old woman was critically injured Saturday in a four-vehicle traffic crash on the 5 Freeway, near the outskirts of Glendale.

Another person suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash on the southbound freeway at Colorado Boulevard, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the crash at 8:11 a.m., Stewart said.

At least one of the vehicles struck the center divider, and the crash might have involved a silver Mercedes-Benz and a green Kia, the California Highway Patrol reported.
