Jackson, MS : A 35-year-old Latoya Horton was killed in a single car accident at South Drive near Westhaven Boulevard On Wednesday, May 25th, 2016

Jackson police are investigating what caused a deadly accident that killed 35-year-old Latoya Horton on Wednesday morning.

The single car accident happened around 3:00 a.m. on South Drive near Westhaven Boulevard.

Authorities say Horton was riding as a passenger in a Honda Accord and died on the scene of the crash.

Arlando Wilson, the driver of the Honda, survived, but is listed in life-threatening condition.

Police say Wilson was driving westbound on South Drive. He lost control and ran into a tree.
