A Fanning Springs man was killed this morning in a car crash in Levy County. At 12:40 a.m., a 1998 Saturn coupe driven by 38-year-old Steven E. Wright was headed south on U.S. 19 in the inside lane when it struck a southbound 1989 Dodge pickup driven by 24-year-old Ekaternia E. Norris, according to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol. The collision between the two vehicles was head-on, and Wright was pronounced dead at the scene. Norris and her passenger, 26-year-old William Rollison, both of Chiefland, received minor injuries. They were taken to UF Health Shands Hospital.
