LAS VEGAS, NV : 3 children seriously injured in 3-car crash in Las Vegas on Saturday, 22nd July 2023
Two children were “substantially” injured and another is fighting for her life after a collision between three cars Saturday morning in east Las Vegas that police say is being investigated for DUI.
On Saturday at approximately 9:58 a.m., a Jeep SUV traveling in the opposite lane of Hollywood Boulevard approaching Sahara Avenue collided with a Nissan SUV turning onto the road, police said. The Jeep hit the other vehicle and continued before striking a Lexus SUV, investigators determined.
The Jeep contained three children who police say had no seatbelts on. They were identified as a four-year-old girl, a five-year-old boy, and a six-year-old boy. Police describe the boys’ injuries as “substantial” and the girl’s as “life-threatening.” They were all taken to an area hospital for treatment
The Jeep’s driver, identified as Keavon Daniels, 29, of Las Vegas, showed signs of impairment, according to an LVMPD news release. Daniels was arrested on charges related to the collision, according to the release.
