NEWPORT, NH : Accused driver in fatal NH crash denies charges on Wednesday, 7th September 2016
The accused driver of the vehicle that crashed in Claremont in April killing a passenger has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Eagle Times reports that Amber King, 36, of Claremont, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges of negligent homicide, second-degree assault and two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated.
Police say King was traveling at a high rate of speed on April 23 when her vehicle crossed the center line on Main Street, hit an embankment and utility pole and then overturned and rolled several times.
A female passenger, Amanda Grasso, 32, died in the crash.
Police say two other passengers suffered serious injuries.
