Champaign County, OH : Urbana man, 75, killed in a multiple-vehicle accident in West Liberty on Wednesday night, September 28, 2016

The person killed in a Champaign County crash has been identified as Warren Stevens, 75, of Urbana, according to the sheriff’s office.

A crash at the intersection of North Ludlow Road and Kanagy Road in West Liberty also injured Kristen Reed, 44, of St. Paris, and Pauline Reed, 68, of Urbana.

The Reeds were traveling west in a 1998 Ford Expedition when their vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign, according to police. Both occupants were taken to Mercy of Urbana Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The Ford Expedition crashed into a northbound 2014 Honda Accord driven by Stevens. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Stevens vehicle was spun and struck again by a third vehicle, a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 heavy duty truck that was traveling south on North Ludlow Road.

The driver of the truck, Tracy Leighty, 29, of Mt. Gilead, was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
