Shelby, NC : Two were injured in a multi-car wreck at Kings Road On Thursday, May 19th, 2016
An afternoon multi-car wreck on Kings Road in Shelby sent two to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Shelby Police Department were dispatched to a three-car wreck on Kings Road near the entrance to Magnolia Plantation around 4 p.m. on Thursday. A driver of a gray Honda Accord, which sustained front damage to her vehicle, was one patient
taken to Carolinas HealthCare System- Cleveland, with non-life threatening injuries. The other patient was a passenger in a multi-color, four-door Hyundai. The Huyndai sustained front-end damage. The third vehicle was a white Ford Crown
Victoria, which sustained minimal damage to the front, driver's side fender. No one was injured in the Crown Victoria.
As of 5 p.m. on Thursday, Shelby Police are still investigating the cause of the wreck, and were unable to give further details.
At the scene, the Honda faced the State Employees Credit Union, and the hood of the vehicle was smashed - exposing part of the engine. The Ford was in between the Honda and the Hyndai, facing west. The Ford was driven from the scene after
a report was taken. The Hyundai faced east in the westbound lane of Kings Road. The front windshield of the Hyundai was cracked and the front end was crumpled.
No one in the wreck has been identified.
