A tow truck driver was killed Monday after being struck by a passing pickup truck on Interstate 94 in Jackson County.
Nathan E. Walsh, 38, was removing a disabled vehicle from the road about three miles south of Osseo about 8:25 a.m. when he was hit by a westbound 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Steven E. Dolan of La Crosse, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Walsh, of Osseo, was wearing a reflective jacket while preparing to load the disabled vehicle onto the wrecker, which had its emergency lights on. The pickup truck also side-swiped the tow truck before stopping, according to WSP.
