A 5-year-old boy who was critically injured after crashing an all-terrain vehicle in west-central Minnesota has died of his injuries.

Hennepin County Medical Center spokeswoman Christine Hill says Wesley Needham died Monday.

Kandiyohi (kan-dee-YOH'-hye) County sheriff's officials say the boy took off on the ATV by himself Saturday and wasn't wearing a helmet. The four-wheeler left the road and overturned.
