DALTON, VT : Vermont motorcyclist in stable condition after Monday's crash in Dalton on Monday, 19th September 2016

A Vermont motorcyclist is in stable condition after colliding with a car that had turned into his lane Monday afternoon, according to a Berkshire Medical Center spokesman.

John Barrett, 42, of Pownal, Vt., was traveling west on Main Street about 2:15 p.m. Monday when the 2015 BMW motorcycle he was driving collided with a vehicle driven by Alice Larkin, 32, of Dalton, Dalton Police Chief Jeffrey Coe previously said. Barrett was transported to Berkshire Medical Center with serious injuries.

Barrett's name was incorrect in Thursday's Eagle.

Larkin, who was attempting to turn onto Park Avenue, was cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic, Coe said.

Larkin suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment, Coe said.
