Sioux Falls, S.D : 55-year-old man dies in crash near Brookings on Monday night, January 2, 2017

A 55-year-old man died Monday night in a one-vehicle crash south of Brookings.

A 2006 Chevy Silverado pickup was northbound on Interstate 29 when the vehicle left the ice-covered roadway, entered the median and rolled, according to the South Dakota Highway Patrol.

The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is not being released, pending family notification.
