Virginia State Police is investigating a two-vehicle crash that left one dead in Rockbridge County on Saturday.According to police, the crash occurred at 5 p.m. on Interstate 81 northbound, two miles south of Raphine Road.
We’re told a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe was illegally parked on the right shoulder of the roadway. Police said the driver was outside the vehicle, when a 2018 Kenworth tractor-trailer struck the Tahoe. The Tahoe then struck the pedestrian.
Authorities said the pedestrian, who was also the driver of the Tahoe, was identified as 71-year-old Timothy Korman of Midlothian. Korman died at the scene.
