TOWN OF TONAWANDA, NY : 2 hospitalized after crash damages Town of Tonawanda apartment building on Tuesday, 26th March 2019

A vehicle caused substantial damage to a building in the Town of Tonawanda when it crashed Tuesday night.

Town of Tonawanda police say that around 7 p.m., a 32-year-old Town of Tonawanda man was driving east on Oakridge Ave. when his vehicle went straight across Delaware Ave. and through a parking lot before hitting a parked vehicle and the Ken-Ton Presbyterian Village Apartments.

The driver was taken to ECMC with serious injuries, and is now in fair condition.

A 94-year-old female resident of the apartment building was injured by debris from the crash and was also taken to ECMC. She suffered serious physical injuries.

No charges have been announced in relation to the crash.
