Warren County, MS : Woman dies in Warren County motorcycle crash on Saturday, October 11, 2014

A motorcycle crash in Warren County left a woman dead Saturday. Police said 64-year-old Jeri Smith of Bogue Chitto was a passenger on a motorcycle that wrecked on the Interstate 20 westbound lane at the mile marker 5 at about 2 p.m. Her husband, 51-year-old Johnie Smith, was taken to River Region Hospital and later transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. His condition Saturday was unclear. Authorities said they believe Johnie Smith tried to dodge an object on the road when he lost control and slid across the highway.
