OKALOOSA COUNTY, FL : 50-year-old motorcyclist killed in crash with box truck on Highway 98 in Okaloosa County on Monday, 24th June 2024

A 50-year-old motorcyclist from Mary Esther was killed in a crash early Monday morning in Okaloosa County.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. on Highway 98 near Brookwood Boulevard.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist and a Freightliner box truck were both traveling east on Highway 98 in the same lane. '

FHP states the box truck struck the rear of the man's motorcycle. The man was pronounced dead on scene.
