WAREHAM, MA : State trooper and woman injured in Wareham crash on Wednesday, September 20th 2017

A Massachusetts State Police trooper and a 25-year-old New Bedford woman were injured Wednesday afternoon when the woman car drove off Route 25 into the median and struck a cruiser parked there monitoring traffic.

State police said in a statement that the trooper was parked in the median of Route 25 near Exit 2. The woman's 2007 Honda Civic, traveling east, veered off the travel lane and into the passenger side of the cruiser.

Both the trooper and the woman were alone in their respective vehicles. Both were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.
