Epworth, IA : Four boys killed in a John Deere utility vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon, August 2, 2014
Iowa authorities say the four people killed in a Saturday crash were 14-year-old recent graduates of Drexler Middle School.
The Dubuque Telegraph Herald reports Sunday that the boys were friends from Epworth.
Dubuque County authorities say the crash happened Saturday afternoon when a pickup truck pulling a livestock trailer didn't stop at a stop sign. It collided with the boys who were in a John Deere utility vehicle.
The 24-year-old truck driver wasn't injured. A 25-year-old passenger was hospitalized and another was treated for minor injuries.
The county sheriff's department says it is working with the county attorney to determine if charges will be filed.
Epworth is about 10 miles west of Dubuque.
