Stafford County, VA : Minor injuries on Three-vehicle crash shuts down I-205 on October 9th 2014.
STAFFORD – A three-vehicle crash has shut down the southbound lanes of Interstate 205 one mile north of the Stafford Road exit.
Oregon State Police said the crash, shortly after 11 a.m., caused only minor injuries to motorists and ambulances have been dispatched to the scene. The victims' identities are not available.
The crash, near Milepost 4, involved a tractor-trailer rig and two cars, which ruptured the truck's fuel tank. Crews from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and the Oregon Department of Transportation are working to contain the spill, which is estimated at 50 to 60 gallons of diesel.
Highway officials warned that southbound motorists can expect delays of at least 20 minutes. Traffic is being diverted to the shoulders and officials are advising caution while passing through the area.
