Camden,MO : Camden County woman dies hours after crash on September, Saturday 16th 2017

A woman from Camdenton who was seriously injured in a crash early Saturday, succumbed to her injuries at a Columbia hospital.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the victim, Samantha Holmes, 21, was riding in a car driven by a suspected drunk driver. Troopers say the driver, who was arrested shortly after the crash, ran off Carroll Cave Road near Richland and struck a tree just after Midnight on Saturday.

Another woman, Hannah Genhner, 21, also of Camdenton, was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

The driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of DWI and placed on a 24-hour hold in the Camden County jail. She was not hurt.
