Fairfield, CA : No injuries after three cars, including truck carrying a horse trailer, collided on Interstate Highway 80 in Fairfield on Sunday evening, March 8, 2015
All lanes have reopened on Interstate 80 in Fairfield on Sunday evening following a multi-vehicle collision, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP Officer William Ogilvie said officers responded about 6:30 p.m. to a report of a collision involving at least three vehicles in the eastbound lanes of I-80 near the off-ramp to Air Base Parkway.
Ogilvie said a truck pulling a horse trailer jackknifed. There were no horses in the trailer, he said.
An ambulance was called as a precautionary measure, but Ogilvie said no injuries were reported.
A Sig-alert that was issued at 6:51 p.m. for four of the five lanes on I-80 was cancelled at 7:24 p.m., according to the CHP.
