CASS COUNTY, MI : 2 injured in Cass County crash on Thursday, 3rd August 2023

Two people are recovering from their injuries after a crash late Thursday afternoon in Cass County.

Deputies were called just after 4:30 p.m. to M-62 near Harris Street in Jefferson Township. According to police, a 16-year-old driver was attempting to turn into a driveway on M-62 when he did not see oncoming traffic and was struck by another vehicle that was heading in the opposite direction.

A 43-year-old passenger in the teen’s vehicle and the 20-year-old driver of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The crash remains under investigation.
