Durango, CO : Two women died in a car crash east of Durango on Thursday, March 10, 2016

Colorado police say two women died in a car crash east of Durango, including a locally well-known restaurant owner.

The Durango Herald reports that Colorado State Patrol says the Thursday collision killed the 82-year-old Hwaja "Grandma" Chung and 65-year-old Lynn Gheradini of Bayfield.

Capt. Adrian Driscoll says Chung was taking a left turn when she collided with Gheradini's pickup truck.

Chung ran a Durango restaurant from 1980 to 1988, cooked deli foods for Nature's Oasis in 2000 and later opened an Asian-style deli in Skyridge. She also prepared deli food for Durango Natural Foods.

Until recently, Chung also made her own line of peanuts and garlic sauces, pickled beets and kimchee.

Investigators don't suspect drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
