DeKalb County, IL :Driver ticketed following crash on I-69 on Sunday, JUly 5th 2015

A driver was cited by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department for following too closely following a crash on I-69 Sunday afternoon.According to a press release from the sheriff’s department, a driver from Michigan was in the northbound lanes of I-69 at the 324 mile marker south of Auburn when she was forced to brake because of traffic in front of her. A man from Michigan who was driving a Ford Flex right behind her was unable to slow down enough and he ended up rear-ending her vehicle, sending it rolling into the ditch on the east side of the road.She and a passenger were taken to a hospital in Fort Wayne with non-life threatening injuries.
