Fort Payne, AL: I-59 south near Fort Payne now open after wreck on Thursday, July 23rd 2015

Southbound lanes of Interstate 59 is now open, after being closed for several hours, at exit 218 near Fort Payne.The accident involved a military convoy truck that was carrying large containers. The truck that flipped was carrying explosives. There were around a dozen trucks in the convoy.Fort Payne police detoured motorists on to Highway 11 South as crews are working to clear the scene.Alabama State Troopers say they are unsure of injuries at this time.
