Ohio County, KY : Man dies after a wreck on State Route 69 N. in Hartford on Thursday, February 4, 2016

A man has died after a wreck in Ohio County.

According to the sheriff's office, it happened just after 1 p.m. Thursday in the 7900 block of State Route 69 N. in Hartford.

Deputies say their initial investigation shows that the pickup truck being driven by Leon Moore, of Hartford, rear ended a car. Moore's pickup then skid off the road and overturned several times, ejecting him from the vehicle.

Moore was taken from the scene by medical helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Officials say he died from his injuries around 6 p.m.

The three people in the car were not hurt.

The sheriff's office says the preliminary investigation suggests that alcohol could be a contributing factor in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
