DEFIANCE COUNTY, OH : 82-year-old man killed in crash in Defiance County on Thursday, 23rd May 2024

A man was killed and several others were injured after a crash in Defiance County Thursday afternoon.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, James Bailey, 82, of Defiance, was traveling southbound on Independence Road in Richland Township around 4:44 p.m. when he failed to yield at a stop sign, pulled onto US-24 and was struck by a pick-up truck.
