Colonie, NY : 1 dead, 2 injured in one-car crash in upstate NY early Sunday morning, July 17, 2016
Police are investigating a fatal one-car crash in upstate New York.
They say it happened early Sunday morning in the town of Colonie, about 11 miles northwest of Albany.
They say the Ford Freestar struck a utility pole and overturned while going westbound on Central Avenue.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people in the car were taken to a hospital in serious condition.
Police say prior to the accident, a Schenectady County sheriff’s vehicle had attempted to stop the car which had been reported stolen.
