ATTLEBORO, MA : Driver in fatal I-95 crash pleads not guilty, freed on bail on Sunday, March 19th 2017
A man police say was drunk and speeding when he rear-ended a moving taxi on Interstate 95 in Massachusetts, killing the passenger, has pleaded not guilty.
The Sun Chronicle (http://bit.ly/2nDO5w2 ) reports that Michael Spinale was freed on $10,000 bail after pleading not guilty Monday to charges including motor vehicle homicide while drunk.
The crash on I-95 in Attleboro early Saturday morning took the life of 39-year-old Warwick, Rhode Island, resident Kailash Bolar. The cab driver suffered minor injuries.
Police say the 41-year-old Spinale, of Boston, told them he had "five or six beers" while bar hopping on St. Patrick's Day.
The cab driver told police he was traveling 75 to 80 mph when he was struck.
