TAYLORSVILLE, NC : Innocent driver killed after Alexander Co stolen car chase ends in wreck on Thursday, 1st February 2024

An innocent driver was killed, and the passenger was airlifted after a stolen car chase in Alexander County ended with a wreck Thursday afternoon, according to North Carolina Highway Patrol.
Clint Hoke, 62, was identified as the deceased victim. The driver of the stolen vehicle, Tod-Jaa Dazu-Juan Tilley, 38, has “charges forthcoming.”
The crash happened around 12:15 p.m. on N.C. Highway 16 near Fairgrounds Road.
