Poland, ME : Woman ejected from car in Poland crash on Sunday, July 31, 2016

Herrick Valley Road between Sunderland Road and Tiger Hill Road is back open, after a car crash that left one woman ejected from the vehicle.

Androscoggin County sheriff's deputies say the crash happened just after 11 a.m. on Sunday in the area of 95 Herrick Valley Road.

Deputies said Sarah Jones, 30, of Poland, started to drift off the road when she then over-corrected which caused the car to flip multiple times. Police said Jones was then thrown from the car.

Several emergency crews were on scene for about four hours while they worked to clear the roadway.

Jones was then transported to Central Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.

Police are still investigating the incident.
