MATTOON, IL : Humboldt man injured in single vehicle collision at North 19th Street/U.S. Route 45 on Monday, 20th April, 2020

A Humboldt man was injured when his pickup truck collided with an electrical pole and a parked car Monday morning along North 19th Street/U.S. Route 45 in Mattoon.

A Mattoon Police Department crash report stated that Danial A. Miller was driving south in the 700 block of North 19th Street when his truck left the roadway to the west. The truck then struck a large stone and other landscaping materials, the Ameren Illinois pole, and the parked car before coming to a stop in a driveway.

The Mitchell-Jerdan Ambulance Service took Miller to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center for treatment of injuries. The collision caused the electrical pole to split in half, with wires in the roadway.
