Dedham, MA: Two hospitalized after rollover crash on Saturday, July 25th 2015
Two individuals were ejected from a vehicle and seriously injured following a single-vehicle rollover on Sixth Street early Saturday afternoon.Lt. Carey Beaulieu of the Dover Police Department said the accident happened at approximately 12:10 p.m. near 119 Sixth St. and speed may likely have been a factor.Beaulieu said it was determined that a red 2004 Pontiac Bonneville appeared to have been traveling southbound when it went off of the righthand side of the road.“It crossed the lawn of one residence and flipped over,” he said. “It then hit a rock wall at the next residence and flipped again.”When police arrived on scene, both occupants of the vehicle were found outside of the car and with serious injuries. One occupant was airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital, while the other is being treated at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. Beaulieu was unable to release their names or ages at this time.A witness at the scene reported police found heroin in the road along with a spoon and needles. Beaulieu could not comment on whether or not any drug-related charges will be made, but did state that evidence was gathered at the scene. He said the vehicle was “totaled and impounded by Dover police.”
