Sumter County, FL : Truck driver killed in single vehicle crash in Sumter County on Monday December 7 2015

A truck driver was killed early today in a single vehicle crash in Sumter County.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim. He was driving a 2006 Freightliner, according to Alabama State Troopers.
The crash happened at 12:50 a.m. on Interstate 59 near the 5 mile marker. The tractor-trailer left the roadway and struck several trees before catching fire.
The identification of the driver is pending confirmation by the Alabama Department of Forensic Science. The crash remains under investigation.
