Hampton, N.H : Car crash knocks out power in Hampton early Thursday morning, May 19, 2016
A car crashed into a utility pole in Hampton early Thursday morning leaving hundreds in the area without power.
Police said a car slammed into the utility pole on Landing Road just before 3:30 a.m.
The road is closed between Winnacunnet Road and Route 101 as crews work to clear the area.
Unitil said power is out for Landing Road and the surrounding area. Traffic lights are not functioning.
As many as 235 outages have been confirmed in the area.
It could take until Friday afternoon before power is restored, according to officials.
