A Stanley man was killed in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of County MM and 300th Street in the town of Edson at 9:30 p.m.
The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday said Stanton M.P. Bedell, 42, of rural Stanley died in the crash.
Bedell was a passenger in a black Chrysler 300 driven by Terrany J. Flick, 33, of Altoona. It collided with a white Toyota RAV4 driven by Nathan A. Briggs, 16, of Cadott. A passenger in the Toyota was Hunter G. Kann, 16, of Cadott.
According to Chippewa County Sheriff James Kowalczyk:
Preliminary information shows Briggs was driving northbound on 300th Street while Flick was driving eastbound on County MM, approaching the intersection.
Briggs failed to stop at a stop sign and t-boned Flick’s vehicle. The speed the vehicles were going at the time of the crash is not known.
Flick’s vehicle went into the northeast section of the intersection and appeared to have rolled several times. It came to rest in a field.
Stanton was dead at the scene.
