Wood County, OH : 42-year-old injured in semi hit Interstate 75 on Wednesday August 12th 2015

Southbound lanes of Interstate 75 are back open after a semi crashed through a barrier, just south of U.S. 6.
The crash happened just before 10 a.m., near mile marker 176 in Wood County.
Police say the semi driver left the right side of the road, over corrected and jack-knifed. The semi hit about 100 feet of a guard rail, before hitting a bridge rail.
Both of the truck's fuel tanks were ruptured in the crash, spilling 100 gallons of fuel into the Portage River.
The driver of the semi, 42-year-old Abdulazeez Shareef, was taken to Wood County Hospital for minor injuries.
Shareef was not cited for the crash, and police say alcohol and drugs were not factors.
Southbound traffic was down to one lane in the area for several hours. The lanes have since reopened.
Police say the right lane of the interstate will close once again Wednesday at 8 p.m., so crews can remove the semi from the area. The closure should last about four hours.
