Statesville, NC : Passenger killed in two-vehicle crash in southern Iredell on Wednesday, September 20th 2017

A two-vehicle head-on crash east of Mooresville claimed the life of one person Wednesday afternoon, the N.C. Highway Patrol said.
The names of those involved were not released.
The wreck occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Linwood Road near Patterson Farm Road. Two vehicles, one which was a pickup, could be seen down a shallow embankment near the side of the road.
The person who was killed was a passenger in one of the vehicles, a trooper said. Both drivers were transported with injuries. A source said one of the drivers was in critical condition.
No one else was involved in the crash.
The South Iredell Fire Department responded to the scene.
