Burgaw, N.C : 2 killed, infant survives in Pender SUV-truck crash early Friday, April 7, 2017
An infant survived and two people were killed in a crash early Friday in Pender County, according to the N.C. State Highway Patrol.
A spokesperson said a 2006 Acura SUV was eastbound about 4:30 a.m. on N.C. 53 near Maple Hill when it crossed the center line and struck a westbound box truck.
The driver and passenger in the Acura were killed.
The victims, whose names were not released, live out of state.
An infant, also in the Acura, was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for observation, but did not sustain significant injury, according to the highway patrol.
The driver of the box truck was not injured.
