St. Clair County, AL : Pell City man killed when motorcycle collided with a commercial type truck on U.S. 231 South on Friday, April 29, 2016

A Pell City man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a commercial type truck on U.S. 231 South.

St. Clair County Coroner Dennis Russell identified the victim as Jamey Michael Sorensen, 24, of Pell City. Russell said the cause of death was blunt force trauma.

The accident happened at 3:17 p.m. Friday at the 5500 block of U.S. 231 South, near Driving Range Road.

U.S. 231 was expected to be completely shut down until investigators were finished with the scene of the fatality.
