SIOUX CITY, IA : 2 killed, 4 injured in two-vehicle crash in Sioux City on Sunday, 21st July 2024

Sioux City Police say two people have died following a two-vehicle crash that occurred late Sunday night.

According to investigators, around 9:13 p.m. Sunday evening, a 2000 Chevrolet truck was traveling at a high rate of speed on W. 3rd St. when it struck a 2008 Volkswagen that was crossing the intersection on Rebecca St.

Officials say the driver of the Volkswagen was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. A female passenger in the Volkswagen was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and later died at the hospital. Two other passengers in the Volkswagen were transported to an area hospital with injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet truck is said to have been transported to a local hospital with serious injuries while a passenger was transported with minor injuries.
