Florence,AL : Moulton woman dies in 1-car accident on July, Monday 10th 2017
Kimberly Adams Hood, 51, of Moulton was killed in a one-vehicle accident Monday night when the car she was driving hit a cow on Alabama 24, authorities said.
Hood, the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce executive director from 2008-2012, was pronounced dead at the Lawrence County Medical Center at 11:40 p.m., Lawrence County Coroner Greg Randolph said.
Alabama State Troopers reported Hood was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected when the BMW 2.5i convertible she was driving overturned. Troopers said Hood was traveling east on Alabama 24 near Lawrence County 108 in the Landersville area when the accident occurred at 10:35 p.m.
Randolph said a male passenger in the vehicle was treated at the hospital's emergency room. He said he doesn’t believe the injuries were life-threatening.
Hood was an administrative assistant at Westminster Assisted Living in Decatur.
Lawrence County Sheriff Gene Mitchell said his office is assisting the troopers in the investigation.
