BREVARD COUNTY, FL : Woman hit, killed while walking along I-95 in Brevard County on Christmas on Monday, 25th December 2023

A woman walking on Interstate 95 after exiting a disabled vehicle was struck and killed by another vehicle in Brevard County on Christmas, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a Mitsubishi Outlander was traveling northbound on Interstate 95 near mile marker 160 in the center lane around 9:38 p.m. after the victim — a 43-year-old Roseland, Florida woman — had gotten out of her disabled vehicle from a previous crash and was walking east.

According to a crash report, the woman’s vehicle from the previous crash was blocking the center lane facing south with no lights on.'
