CHARLOTTE, NC : One person killed, two injured in west Charlotte crash on Thursday, March 16th 2017

One person is dead and two others injured after a serious crash in west Charlotte Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Freedom Drive and Thriftwood Drive. Police confirmed one person was killed in the wreck. Two others were treated for minor injuries.
No names have been released.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police tweeted that the roads were closed while detectives investigate.
