A Vermont man has pleaded not guilty in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a 54-year-old pedestrian over the weekend in Highgate.
Luke Loiselle of Highgate has been charged in St. Albans with leaving the scene of an accident with death resulting.
He's accused of striking David Miller as Miller was walking east along the shoulder of state Route 78 Sunday morning.
Miller's body was discovered by a passing motorist in a ditch.
Police received a tip about the vehicle wanted in the accident that led them to Loiselle's residence Monday.
