Norman, OK : Manhunt began after car chase and crash on April, Saturday 22nd 2017

According to OHP's Lt. Kera Philippi, Oklahoma Highway Patrol was called at 3:30 a.m. by the McClain County Sheriff's Office to assist in finding two individuals who had fled from a crash following a pursuit. The search was called off a few hours later. An employee at The Trails Golf Club in Norman saw a barefoot man matching the description of one of the suspects, and OHP responded. There was a golf cart pursuit, and the man fled into the woods. He was arrested at approximately 12:30 p.m. There is no word on the second suspect. We'll have more info when troopers from the scene call in to the PIO.

The suspect is now in custody, according to OUPD.

According to the OU Police Department, the suspect is a white male, about 6'1" tall, bald, with tattoos, jeans and no shoes. Individuals are encouraged to avoid the area along Highway 9 near Chautauqua.
