Richmond,VA : Chesterfield police investigating crash that killed 75-year-old man at end of driveway on February, Wednesday 7th 2018

A 75-year-old Chesterfield County man was fatally injured Wednesday when his SUV was struck by another vehicle as he was pulling out of his driveway, police said.

Police said Charles Bowers, who was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe, was entering Spring Run Road from his driveway about 3 p.m. when his vehicle was struck by a 2006 Ford Focus traveling south.
Bowers, of the 12900 block of Spring Run Road, was taken to St. Francis Medical Center, where he died.

Police said the driver of the Ford Focus was not injured and remained at the scene. The driver’s identity was not released.
