Mitchell, SD : One injured in Burr Street crash on South Burr Street on Thursday, 15th November 2018

A man sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash evening on South Burr Street.

The incident occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. in the 600 block of South Burr Street. Mitchell police said a 2013 Ford F-150 and a 2011 Ford Escape were both traveling south when the 48-year-old male driver of the F-150 slowed and signaled to turn left. The Escape, driven by 53-year-old Scott Brookbank, collided with the back of the F-150.Brookbank was transported by ambulance for his injuries and was later cited for careless driving. The driver of the F-150 was uninjured in the crash, and both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time. There were no passengers in either vehicle.

The Mitchell Fire and EMS Division and the Mitchell Police Division responded to the scene of the crash.
